The classic Moscow Mule is probably my very favorite of all cocktails. Crisp, a little bubbly and very refreshing. It combines vodka, ginger beer and fresh lime. You can do about a zillion variations on the classic Moscow Mule, and today I'm going to share one of my favorites with you - The Peach Mule. Now, this is a strong drink - feel free to cut the alcohol in half, just using one shot. If you do that I'd do less peach nectar, unless you like a sweeter drink. Speaking of peach nectar, I've seen it at just about every grocery store. I like to use Kern's nectar, which is usually under a dollar a can. I like to put the rest in a glass bottle, in the fridge and add it to kale smoothies. I always serve my mules in a traditional copper mug - I have THIS set from Amazon. It keeps your drink perfectly cold, and adds some fun character!
Juice your lime, or if you're trying to be quick just give it a good squeeze. I always heat my limes up in the microwave for about ten seconds to really release the juices.
Measure out your shots of peach vodka (I like New Amsterdam and Skyy peach vodka best!) and pour them into your cupper mug, which should be filled with ice. I was gifted THESE cute copper mug shot glasses for my birthday, so fun!
Add your freshly squeezed lime juice, and your peach nectar.
Pour in (or measure out) your ginger beer. I've tried lots of ginger beers - my favorites are Bundaberg, Stoli and the Trader Joe's brand.
Garnish with a lime and you are set!
This is a rather large (and rather strong) cocktail, best when sipped and enjoyed with friends. Enjoy!
Special thanks to Maryam of Hi + Hello Photography for the amazing pictures! She is so incredibly talented, and if you're in the Bay Area, make sure to keep her in mind for your photo needs!
