I've had it on now for almost two weeks and it actually is still looking pretty good. No chips, but you can see a big area on the bottom of my nails where it's grown out. I am completely obsessed with Vinylux, not only because of how long it lasts, but mostly for how easy it is to take off!
If you're a licensed cosmetologist you can get it at special stores, but I buy it on Amazon from THIS seller. They have the best prices I've found and free (quick!) shipping.
