It all started with a super cute quilt I found on major clearance at Target. Leila has been asking for a "big girl fashion room" and this quilt is what finally got me moving on it.
I'm not quite ready to show it all off yet (still scouring craigslist and garage sales for one more dresser) but I will show off her collage wall:
I'd been on the hunt for a cute print of one of my favorite fashion quotes - "Fashions fade, but style is eternal." (Yves St. Laurent) I'd found a couple but they were too mature for Leila, so I decided to make my own with my awesome new Silhouette sketch pens.
I created a really simple print using a dress form found in the Silhouette clip art store, and two of my favorite fonts (Bombshell Pro and Champagne & Limousines.)
Then I changed my setting from blade to sketch pen, popped in the pen and voila! I did print it in two steps (first with the turquoise glitter sketch pen for the words, then I took it out and let it dry a few minutes, and put the pink glitter sketch pen in for the dress form.) I popped it in a cute, little IKEA frame and stuck it up on the wall. I love that it's age-appropriate for my fashion loving six-year-old!
What would be the first thing you created with Silhouette sketch pens?? The possibilities are endless!
I LOVE that wall lady and I can't wait to see the rest of the room!
