I had a couple questions for Lindsey....

How did you get started in the handmade business?

"My start in the handmade business was actually quite accidental! I was making handmade gifts for Christmas and blogging about it and was encouraged by my readers to sell my creations. I hosted a small boutique in my home, along with some friends, and made my first sales! Soon after I posted my "left-overs" on my blog and made my first online sales. Not long after I opened up my shop online and have been there for about 3 1/2 years now. It definitely wasn't the ideal way to start a business (hello no planning or experience running a business!), but it has been a huge blessing to me and my family!"

What do you LOVE about the handmade business??

"I love the handmade business because it has allowed so many of us stay-at-home moms to support our families along with our husbands, and relieve a bit of the financial pressure from them, but it also still allows me to be a wife and mom and make my family a priority. I love the flexibility my business provides, and also the daily outlet I have to be creative! My favorite part of my business is pairing fabrics together and designing new products!"
