  1. The big parties are great, but my favorite memories are the ones where we watched fireworks on my grandparents roof ...all the cousins together. It's rare that we can get us all in one place at the same time now.

  2. Love the pictures!!!

My favorite memory is when my husband and I were in Tahoe. We had a great dinner followed by fireworks on the beach set to music. I started crying when Neil Diamond's "America" started playing. It was such an amazing night!

  3. Favorite memory: lots but one that stands out... years ago when my husband & I spent the Fourth on the SF Bay watching fireworks shoot off from four barges w/250,000 other spectators! Once in a life time unless you live there! *we did for only a year though!

  4. My cousin was born on the Fourth of July. We used to go to Paradise Island (an amusement park thingy) for her birthday every year and they would do a huge fireworks display. It was PRETTY awesome! :)

  6. I have only been living in the US for 5 years now. My favorite memory was watching the fireworks on the beach with my son and the rest of the family. His eyes lit up so wide when the fireworks started going off!

  9. I have so many favorite 4th of July memories that it's hard to narrow down just one. One great one was the first year my L was born; I introduced him to swimming and he fell asleep on my chest during the fireworks display. :)

  11. 14 years ago, my then 3 year old daughter met my now hubby for the first time. Our first "date" was seeing Hercules at the movies and then sitting in the back of his truck watching the fireworks on 4th of July. I remember she was so shy with everyone, yet she really took to him so quick. They were best of friends before the night was over.

  13. What a fun giveaway! My favorite 4th of July memory happened seven years ago when I arrived in the Ozarks on the fourth of July after driving with my six year old son from southern CA to start our new life in Missouri. That fourth of July was filled with beautiful memories and colors that has made July 4th one of my favorite holidays. It was also the first time I saw fireflies flicker out of the grass at dusk...amazing.

  15. Before we had little ones we lived in an old home that was divided into apartments. We had lived in the upstairs apartment which had a window you could climb out onto the roof. We actually moved out of that apartment into one downstairs a couple of days before the 4th, so we used a butter knife to "unlock" our old apt and enjoyed watching the fire works from the roof one last time :)

  16. Every Fouth of July we go camping with family and friends. One year we rented a boat and parked along the Delta where the Hilton hotel was putting on a fireworks display. It was pretty amazing to have about 50 boats surrouding us. Everyone had their lights turned off and the water was completely still and quiet as we stared up at the fireworks (directly above us) in awe. The kids love this memory, and every Fourth of July they ask if we can do it again :)

  17. I grew up in the country, so I loved doing sparklers & watching fireworks in the country when I was a little girl with my family. I wonder if people that live in the city know that the nightsky is very different far from the city lights.

  18. My favorite 4th memories are of watching the fireworks from my parents roof. They live really close to the display site and also in AZ. So hot, clear summer nights were perfect for watching from home.

  20. The fourth of July has always been one of my favorite holidays! But my favorite 4th of July memory is two years ago, my hubby and I were headed to Santa Fe for a little getaway...the morning we left for our road trip, I found out we were preggers! So we had the whole trip to talk about how "we'd never do this again..." : )

  21. I would LOVE to wear these, like I wear my other ones from you...ALL THE TIME!! As a kid we would go to our towns Fourth of July parade, have a bbq, then sit and wait for the firework's show at a high school. I loved those little moments.

  22. Love those earrings! fav 4th of July memory would be the 4th of July right before my family moved across the country. We spend the entire day and evening with our really good friends, savoring the time we had together.

  23. My favorite Fourth of July memories all revolve around us lighting our own fireworks at home with all the family there, good food, good fun, great company. It is always fun when we create our own special (sometimes not quite legal, LOL) firework show!

I LOVE these earrings you are super talented!

  24. Every year my family has a 4th of July BBQ/Reunion. We get to all reconnect eat, and light fireworks. We have done this for as long as I can remember, so I can't just pick one memory because all the memories make the day what it is!!!

  25. I'm SO making those strawberries. totally cute! My favorite (or not so favorite) memory is when we were little we would always go to my grandparents house for the 4th. They lived on a street with lots of kids and at night we would all do fireworkes. Well, a lot of kids plus fireworks don't mix and one shot me right in the butt! its funny now... but at the time it was embarrassing and not very funny. hahahaha...

  26. My favorite memory from 4th of July was back in 2009. I was due with my daughter on 07/09/09, and I was huge, hot and wanted her out. However my favorite part of the day was when we did fireworks that night, and when all the fireworks went off, she was just moving around all over in my belly. It was constant movement the whole time. I cherished that moment as no one else knew what was happening but me. It was like we were enjoying doing the fireworks, just her and I. Silly I know, but htat is how I felt! Loved it....she didn't come until 07/22/09 two full weeks late!

  27. Love all the red, white & blue inspiration! I always loved getting together for family picnics with the cousins. We don't do it as much anymore (we see each other all the time at church), and this year I'll be celebrating the day with my fiancé & his family!

  28. My favorite memory was the first year we were in our house, after we bought it. We did fireworks in the front with the whole neighborhood. So much fun!

  29. I just found your blog and tried the curls last night! I was surprised to see how well it worked. The only problem I had is trying to keep the hedband in all night. Because I have fine hair I have a hard time getting those workout headbands to stay in. Any recommendations? Oh, and my favorite fourth activity is staying up late watching fireworks.hollybear4@gmail.com
