Friends, I need your help. My hair is the longest it's been in years. I like it long, but I'm lazy. Most days it ends up in a messy bun. Right now my hair is split end city, so I really need to make an appointment for *at least* a trim. But then I started thinking, should I just chop it all off? (Well not all of it, but a good eight inches or so....)
What do you think? Here is a picture of my hair a few years ago:
And this is what is looks like currently:
So my question to you is, to chop or not to chop. Please help me decide!! If you have any links to great haircut pictures, or any ideas I'd love to hear them. And just for fun I added a little poll to the side of my blog <----
PS - no "What She Wore Wednesday" because I still don't have a working camera cord. Wah!

I'm a long hair girl so I'm partial...but I think your hair is gorgeous!!! I would keep it long. The color is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI say cut it! Maybe a few inches? I know what you mean, when my hair is longer all I do is wear it up or in a pony! When its shorter you HAVE to do it! lol
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the one w/ the pink, omg..so cute!! :)
How about do a happy medium... cut it to about where it lays just below your necklace (in the photo). If you still don't like it you can chop the rest of it off. Either way I think your hair is pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour hair is really pretty and I kind of feel that there are only so many years as mommas that we can have it long (without looking like we are trying to hard to stay young), so I say keep it. Get some pretty layers, swoopy bangs and it will feel brand new!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it in the first picture! That is an awesome cut for you! You should do that!
ReplyDeleteGo with the graduated bob in the first pic! Beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteI think the shorter cut is really cute on you. If you don't want to go all the way short, maybe just cut right below the chin and see how you feel with that.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love the reverse bob and dig the first photo, I say keep it long. Just go in an get a trim and some funky layering. :)
ReplyDeleteloving the short sassy cut! :)
ReplyDeleteI voted chop it. You look so cute in the first pic, and right before Summer is a perfect time for a "shorter" change!!
ReplyDeleteeither way you're adorable. XOXO
My suggestion as a stylist myself.... If you do chop, do locks of love. It's easier on missing it when you've done something wonderful with it. However if I had the pleasure of doing your hair, I would take 3-4 inches off and put in some layering. The goal would be that great Victoria's secret supermodel hair. Add in some soft wave or curl for some texture and interest. Then you can still whip it up in a cute messy bun if ya like or do it fabulous when you feel like it. I hope this helps.
ReplyDeleteIf you chop, do locks of love. It makes the missing the length easier.
ReplyDeleteHowever if I got the pleasure of doing your hair, I would take off 3-4 inches, layer and texturize it up for fullness and volume. Then you can still whip it up in a cute messy bun, braid it, whatever you like for hot days. Then when you need or want to do long and voluminous, you can.
althought I'm a huge fan of the short hair, I currently have it myself...I LOVE your long hair. I think maybe some cut off and some new layers & maybe some more of that awesome pink in. Either way it'll look good, but I love the long.
ReplyDeletethat photo of your hair shorter is so super cute, i say chop it off!
ReplyDeleteYou had pink in your hiar? I kind of have a crush on you now; do it again!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the short hair cut.
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable either way, but I say CUT IT!
ReplyDeleteLove the Bob on you. Not many can pull off long or short and besides, it's hair and will grow back :)

You have beautiful hair but DO IT! Chop it! The pic from a few years ago is super cute. Hair changes make us feel like completely new women and whenever I go short I always feel fun and sassy. And then you can donate it to Locks of Love :-)
ReplyDeleteoh how cute! I love you with long hair and with short hair. Your face is great for both cuts. Man, this is a tough one, Im trying to grow mine out, so maybe cut yours for the both of us :) Love ya deary
ReplyDeleteDONT chop it...when my kids were small I did...keep it long since you have such gorgeous hair! just trim and soon enough you will have to wear it short!
ReplyDeleteI think you should cut it! You looked cute with it short and you can really pull that look off! DO IT! :)
ReplyDeleteLove that top picture (maybe because it looks pretty dang close to my hair)!? Ha! Cut it girlfriend!
ReplyDeletei love your long hair but a short sassy cut for summer would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteThis is your Father....DO NOT CHOP YOUR HAIR!!!!! Trim off the split ends, wear it in a ponytail the way I like it and stay Daddy's Girl forever. Deal?
ReplyDeleteLove you, Baby Girl!
I say chop it & donate it to locks of love! You are lucky, your hair looks cute either way!
ReplyDeleteyou're gunna hate me, cuz i dont have an answer. you have AMAZING hair and you have that face where you can get away with just about anything you do and still look beautiful.
