It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Ok - I realize this post is very late, considering that Christmas Eve is tomorrow, but the Giustino family has been hit with a bug and I've been hit the hardest.  This means going to bed around 9pm (a good three hours earlier that what I've been used to) taking it {relatively} easy, going through an entire box of tissue just today (my poor nose is so raw - my dad said it looks like I have a red mustache.  Nice, huh?) and drinking lots of hot tea.  Leaving not much computer time.  Anyways, these pictures have been on my camera for a few days waiting to be uploaded and edited, for the few of you who asked about my Christmas decorations.  Not too much, but there are little touches of Christmas everywhere....

Leila's advent calendar.  Everyday was filled with a little treat or love note:

My apothecary jars filled with mini candy canes and ribbon candies, and my "Peace" blocks - one of my favorite decorations!

Firefighter nutcrackers:

The stockings, all made by my Auntie Linda, cookies for Santa plate, "Wisemen still seek Him" sign by The Homespun Raven, Leila's 2009 letter from Santa and a fun candle holder

A pretty candle and our Ohana tree on the dvd tower:

Assorted Christmas books and DVDs on top of the TV

Some Christmas pictures and a snowglobe on top of Leila's toy shelf:

and our tree:

Yes, we drove 2.5 hours for that!  The reaction we get is always "You drove 2.5 hours for that?!?!"  Yep - I love those kind of trees, and the one I really wanted was even scrawnier! : )

No pictures of the front of the house, but Tony did a great job - we have big, white lights on the house, smaller white lightson the arbor and Tony wrapped thick red ribbon around the white picket fence posts to look like candy cane.  Leila also has a cute, pink tree in her room with only pink ornaments.  She said we need to find a purple one for Gianna's room next year!

From my family to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas!

  2. Awh, thanks Tara!! Our poor tree doesn't like most of our ornaments, but we're making it work! Tony is still not sure how I talked him into it :)

  4. OK, the thought of Leila wanting to get her little sister a purple tree just melted my heart! How sweet!
