Yesterday our downtown through a "Christmas in July" event for the kids. There was an ice rink, Christmas decorations and music, snow machines and apparently an appearance by Santa that we missed. Leila loved dancing to the holiday tunes, and playing with the bubble snow....ice skating not so much. She was really excited to put on the skates, and give it a try but after five minutes she announced "I'm done. I don't like it...." In less time than it took to get on the skates she was done.
After Christmas in July we went to a Chinese restaurant. Leila loved everything, especially the rice:
We had so much fun yesterday, despite the quick trip on ice skates, and love our town for putting on such fun events!

oh she looks like she had a lot of fun ice skating!! i wonder when i can start taking my son ice skating! :)
aw! i wanted to go to this but we were stuck moving. blahhhh :(
