I'm in my first Craft Boutique Faire on November 7, and am getting very excited...and nervous! My mom and I went to the Gem Faire at the Fairgrounds on Saturday so I could pick up some supplies. I got a couple of nice jewelry displays, but today started to think that the table is going to look VERY boring if I don't jazz it up a bit. I racked my brain and thought I'd try to make it have a "shabby chic" feel. We had three canvases that Tony was going to paint, but I decided to use them as jewelry display boards. I went to Joann's Fabrics and got 1/4 yard of three different fabrics and stapled them over the blank canvas. My sweet, sweet husband was then kind enough to drill on some little hooks across the top (for necklaces) and bottom (for bracelets) of each one. I bought little easels (sp??) that they will each sit on. The pictures so do not do them justice, but they came out really nice!
I bought some frames at Marshalls, and a mini dress form (although I wish they had more) that I will display on the table, but I'm still trying to think of some other ways to "shabby chic-ify" it, so if you have any ideas - please let me know! : )
